The Micah Centre has significant interest in the Millennium Development Goals.  These are the eight goals that address the world’s main development challenges and are to be achieved by 2015.  The MDG’s were adopted by 189 nations-and signed by 147 heads of state and governments during the UN Millennium Summit in 2000. These are the eight goals:

The eight goals contain 21 specific and achievable targets that are be measured by 60 indicators. These indicators guide data collection and reports to see if the targets are actually being met in a timely manner.
